Paul Sherman - Bass

Paul Sherman started out in a

musical family playing guitar.

After hearing Phil Lesh play he

decided to play the bass. He

took lessons from James

Harnett and Gary Peacock on

the bass violin and played

mostly classic bebop jazz in

the 70's. He then moved to

the electric bass and was

greatly influenced by Bob

Marley, The Police, and Talking

Heads.  He has played in jazz bands, folk orchestras, rock bands, World Beat bands and gypsy jazz ensembles. He currently also plays with Ken Pickard and Zydeco Explosion. HIs true love is the music of Cascadia Groove, which he finds challenging and exciting to play.  Paul loves to perform and is especially happy when people are grooving to the music.
